City of DeSoto Meter Services team has worked directly with the Aqua Metric staff on the implementation of an AMI system for water meter reading.  The staff and the company have provided exceptional quality, service and expertise. Across the board, we are always pleased with their work.

Initially in 2011, we began an eight month pilot program to explore the benefits and feasibility of a fixed-network system for meter reading. Our past experiences with AMR solutions offered by other vendors and manufacturers had proven to be costly and unreliable. Needless to say, we were skeptical of any promises of accuracy and scalability of this technology.  After much due diligence, we decided that the Sensus FlexNet system was the correct application for our citizens and city.  The Aqua Metric team provided support, training, and industry knowledge throughout the entire process.  They understood our goals and initiatives, and worked as a business partner to help us achieve our objectives. We found the Aqua Metric team to be dependable, straightforward, and honest.

One scenario in particular illustrates their customer-centric philosophy and concern for quality. The DeSoto Meter Services team had installed Sensus meters and radios within a mile or two of the Tower Gateway Basestation, or data collector. The meter readings were not transmitting, which resulted in a meter reader being dispatched for a visual reading.  The Aqua Metric team was contacted for assistance.  They responded quickly and begin to assess the issue with our Meter Services team. After confirming all equipment was working properly, Aqua Metric contacted a Sensus engineer.  The engineer identified frequency interference from the neighboring city.  Aqua Metric contacted the city, explained the problem, and within a day or two the issue was resolved. It is this kind of product knowledge and commitment to excellence that defines Aqua Metric.
