OMNI R2™
OVERVIEW
FEATURES
Improve accuracy range and extend meter service life for large residential applications with OMNI™ R², one of the most technologically advanced, large water meters on the market today. Sensus OMNI R² provides longer service life than any other comparable meter. And you don’t have be concerned about sustained flow rates. There are no restrictions, thanks to its continuous operating range.
The OMNI R² is available in 1.5- and 2-inch sizes. There are two versions of the 2-inch model: with and without a strainer. The V-shaped integral strainer includes a stainless steel screen that can be removed to perform routine maintenance.
All of Sensus OMNI meters use floating ball technology (FBT). This is key to its optimal measurement performance. FBT uses an impeller with a ball design. The impeller is weightless in the water line. This feature enables the impeller to begin moving with very little water flow or force through the meter. As a result, OMNI meters have an extended flow range with greater low-flow sensitivity. They also have the ability to capture extended high-flow rates, all with virtually no wear on the meter.

Water Meter Testers
OVERVIEW
FEATURES
Sensus provides portable test kits for large and small water meters. Two sizes are available for large meter test kits and one for small meter test kits.
The W-1250 kit includes everything you’ll need to accurately field test meters 1-1/2″ and larger. The tester assembly includes a 5/8″ SR II® meter for measuring low flows and a W-1250 turbo meter for measuring high flows. You can test flow rates from 1/4 gallon to 1250 gallons per minute. A pressure gauge in the kit measures line pressure. A fire hose, thread adapters and fittings are also part of the kit. It weighs only 80 pounds and is easily portable.
Use the 125-W tester to test meters 1-1/2″ to 8″ in size. The kit contains a 5/8″ SR II meter for measuring low flows and a turbo meter for measuring high flows. You can test flow rates from 1/4 gallon to 300 gallons per minute. A pressure gauge in the kit measures line pressure. An accessory kit contains fire hoses, thread adapters and fittings and is available as an option. This kit weighs only 45 pounds, so it is easily operated by one person.
The small test kits work best for testing domestic water meters. Each kit includes a factory-calibrated 5/8″ SR II meter. Two register versions are available. The standard version includes a direct-reading register on the meter with a sweep hand and appropriate calibration ring. The Resettable Electronic Register (RER) version features a digital liquid-crystal display (LCD), which eliminates the need for using a calibration ring on the kit meter. This small kit weighs only 29 pounds.

SmartPoint® Non-Pit Transceiver
OVERVIEW
FEATURES
The SmartPoint® 510M non-pit set module is a radio transceiver that gives you RF inbound and outbound access to water measurements and ancillary device diagnostics. It’s designed for non-submersible/non-pit (surface-mount) installations. With two-way communication ability, it serves as a walk-by or drive-by endpoint, a fixed-base endpoint or any combination of those. This versatility gives you highly flexible data collection options and simplifies both current operations and network evolution.
The 510M collects data from the meter register and transmits it to the collection device. In walk-by/drive-by mode, the transceiver collects data and waits for an activation signal from the Vehicle Gateway base station (VGB) or hand-held device (HHD). When it receives a signal, it transmits the readings, the meter identification number and any alarms. As a fixed-base endpoint, the 510M interacts with strategically placed base stations in the service area. Migrate from walk-by/drive-by to fixed base by simply adding a base station.
